Mix 929's Mix Morning Show host
Clint Redwine and I hit the Nashville red carpet for Reese Witherspoon's newest flick -
The Good Lie.
Friday's premier at Nashville's historic
Belcourt Theatre was a first for Witherspoon and she was joined in the celebration by
"Nashville" star Charles Esten, fellow Tennesseans Sean & Leigh Anne Tuohy, and Governor Bill Haslam who gave introductions before the movie started.
Also walking the red carpet were the stars of the movie - Corey Stoll, Sarah Baker, and real-life Sudanese refugees Arnold Oceng, Nyakuoth Wiel, Femi Oguns; Ger Duany and rapper Emmanuel Jal.
Superb casting call to make when the production chose actors who are real-life Sudanese refugees, some former child soldiers, and lost boys. It added to the authenticity of the production and allowed me to feel immersed in their emotions.
Even the younger lost boys in the movie were played by the real life children of Sudanese refugees Peterdeng Mongok, Okwar Jale, Thon Kueth, Beng Ajuet and Kejo Jale.
and is set to release October 3rd.
